Many clients come to therapy wanting to feel better. Together we first seek to understand why things make sense before deciding what, if anything, needs to change.
My work is underpinned by a Person-Centred philosophy, believing that clients have the capacity for growth and self-understanding (self-actualisation) when provided with the appropriate therapeutic conditions.
Alongside this foundation, I use an integrative understanding framework to help clients explore how their experiences, attachment patterns, beliefs, coping strategies, emotional regulation and relationship dynamics interact.
Rather than viewing difficulties as isolated symptoms, I work collaboratively with clients to understand how current struggles may have developed and what purpose they may have served.
This understanding enables clients to make informed choices about whether they wish to maintain or change established patterns.

The Wellbeing With Therapy Understanding Framework
Therapy is not about telling you what to do. Therapy is about helping you understand yourself more clearly so that you can make informed choices about your life.

Choosing a therapist is a personal decision. While understanding how a therapist works is important, the relationship between client and therapist is equally significant.
My approach is based on collaboration, curiosity, compassion, and understanding. The purpose of therapy is not to tell you what to do, but to help you make sense of your experiences and make informed choices about your life.
I offer a free initial consultation to all new private clients. This provides an opportunity for us to explore what brings you to therapy, discuss how I work, and consider whether we feel we are the right fit to work together.
Therapy is a journey and finding a therapist you feel comfortable with is an important first step.
