My Approach to Therapy

Understanding Your Story

Wellbeing Through Understanding

At Wellbeing with Therapy, I believe that lasting wellbeing begins with understanding.

Many of the ways we think, feel and respond to life's challenges developed for understandable reasons.

Our early experiences, relationships and environment

all help shape the beliefs we hold about ourselves, the way we relate to others and the strategies we use to cope when life becomes difficult.

My role is not to judge those adaptations or tell you how to live your life. Instead, I work alongside you to understand how your unique experiences have shaped your

emotional world. Together, we explore these patterns with curiosity, compassion and respect, helping you make sense of why they developed and whether they continue to serve you today.

As understanding grows, so does self-awareness. With greater awareness comes greater choice, and with greater choice comes the opportunity for meaningful and lasting change.

Therapy is not about blaming parents, families or the past. Most people do the best they can with the knowledge, resources and emotional capacity available to them at

the time.

Rather than focusing on blame, we focus on understanding — because understanding helps us move forward.

Whether we explore early experiences, attachment, emotional regulation, relationships or other aspects of your life, our work will always be guided by one simple

principle:

If I can help you understand yourself more clearly, you can decide what is best for you.

This is the philosophy that sits at the heart of

Wellbeing with Therapy.

Compassion; Understanding; Connection.

Understanding Begins with Connection

Choosing a therapist is a personal decision. While understanding how a therapist works is important, the relationship between client and therapist is equally significant.

My approach is based on collaboration, curiosity, compassion, and understanding. The purpose of therapy is not to tell you what to do, but to help you make sense of your experiences and make informed choices about your life.

I offer a free initial consultation to all new private clients. This provides an opportunity for us to explore what brings you to therapy, discuss how I work, and consider whether we feel we are the right fit to work together.

Therapy is a journey and finding a therapist you feel comfortable with is an important first step.
